Ethical, Privacy and Legal considerations around ChatGpt

Recently, the government of Italy banned ChatGpt on the grounds of a privacy breach. They feel that ChatGpt has not properly informed about the collection of private data of users. But is ChatGpt a threat to our privacy?

Ethical considerations -

1. Content writing -

We all know that content writing is just a cakewalk for ChatGpt. The AI tool can write blogs or articles of several hundred words in just a few seconds.

But you need to keep the point of bias in your mind. ChatGpt is pre-trained about everything, so it has bias about everything. So when you get a blog from ChatGpt, then you will have to do a thorough reading and proper editing before publishing it. Not only that, but there are several instances of ChatGpt making errors, so you need to keep that in mind too. You also don't know who is the writer of the original content and whether there is any accountability for the results.

2. Coding -

The entry of ChatGpt was a bit threatening for coders because ChatGpt has the ability to code and can code anything and also debugging of that code. The tool can fix different coding issues faster than any human on the planet.

But the problem with creating software using ChatGpt is that it will not guarantee a safe and secure software or website.

3. Customer service -

Customer service jobs are in the utmost danger because of the entry of ChatGpt. ChatGpt can help you to provide a chatbot service to your customers in your app or website.

But you need to make sure that the data the customer is sharing is totally safe and not going to get breached.

4. Students usage -

Different students are also using ChatGpt, as it is helpful for them to solve their course problems. But at the end of the day, that's actually stopping the growth of the students.

It is also essential to teach the students to use ChatGpt for ethical purposes only.

Privacy concerns -

Privacy is just becoming a myth day by day. Previously different apps were also able to access our other personal data, and now AI has raised the threats to a higher level.

GPT can access a lot of data if different businesses also start using it for their website and apps. That gives rise to the risk of our data getting used for some unethical purposes. ChatGpt can collect any data you enter into the Chatbot, and the information is available to its trainers.

Legal concerns -

The first legal concern around ChatGpt is the infringement of third-party intellectual property rights. ChatGpt is trained with a large database, and you don't know where the AI is generating that text. So we also don't know who controls the generated content.

ChatGpt can also produce fake news or biased news, which can lead to any kind of violence or legal problems in any place. ChatGpt can also generate different offensive and defamatory statements, which also raises various other legal concerns.
